"Adding Trail Boss to Silverado EV gives customers an option that builds on our strong truck pedigree, high electric range and off-road capability."
More Power to Conquer the Trail
The 2026 Silverado EV Trail Boss is built to impress, offering a significant boost in off-road performance. With a 2-inch lift, it boasts 24% higher ground clearance than the base Silverado EV, allowing it to easily navigate rough terrain. The specially tuned coil suspension with a hydraulic rebound control system further enhances its off-road prowess.
For drivers who demand maximum control, the Trail Boss features a trim-exclusive Terrain mode. At low speeds, this mode provides sharper 4-Wheel Steer, giving drivers better control over torque and traction on uneven ground. It also comes equipped with the innovative Sidewinder mode, a feature first introduced on the RST trim, which allows all four wheels to turn in the same direction, enabling the truck to move diagonally at low speeds—perfect for conquering tight trails or parking spaces.
The Trail Boss lives up to its name with impressive power and capability. When equipped with the Max Range battery pack, it can deliver up to 725 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque, with a max towing capacity of 12,500 lbs and 2,100 lbs of payload.

The Silverado EV Trail Boss looks the part of a dedicated off-roader, with a series of design cues that set it apart from the rest of the lineup:

In addition to the new Trail Boss trim, the 2026 Silverado EV lineup introduces three new exterior colors: White Sands, Polar White Tricoat, and Magnus Gray Matte Metallic.

With the addition of the Trail Boss, the 2026 Silverado EV lineup now offers three distinct trims: Work Truck, LT, and Trail Boss. This expansion provides customers with a wider range of choices for every budget and need, from the rugged off-roader to the capable workhorse. The launch-edition RST trim will be sunsetted.
All 2026 Silverado EV trims come standard with a massive 17.7-inch-diagonal center infotainment screen and an 11-inch-diagonal driver information center, even on the base Work Truck. Other customer-favorite features, such as up to 10.2kW of off-board power and the Multi-Flex Midgate, are available on the new trims, making the Silverado EV more versatile than ever.
